OMG Spark’s work bridges hip-hop culture, artistic storytelling, and Nepali heritage to inspire and engage communities. Through creative education, cultural dialogue, and activism through art, Spark promotes community engagement, and awareness of intellectual rights, while creating spaces for expression, exploration, and the celebration of local culture—both for Nepali audiences and international students.
On 23rd August 2025, OMG Spark joined as a guest speaker and performer at the Kathmandu Youth Conclave in Nepal Academy Hall, inspiring over 4,000 youth on entrepreneurship, leadership, and innovation. The event featured Nepal’s leading figures including Sisan Baniya, Paras Khadka, Hari Bansha Acharya, Rabindra Dhant, Durgesh Thapa, and A.G. Dan Bahadur Karki.
OMG Spark led an immersive workshop for exchange students from the University of British Columbia, Canada, exploring the intersections of hip-hop, Nepali culture, and community. Participants engaged in discussion circles, collaborative learning, and creative exercises, experiencing Kathmandu’s rich cultural history alongside modern hip-hop practices, including Spark’s unique fusion of traditional instruments and lyricism.
The session highlighted identity, resistance, storytelling, global citizenship, and cultural hybridity, demonstrating the transformative power of music and dialogue in connecting communities. The workshop was facilitated in collaboration with Mahika Shrestha of The Lotus Eye (Kamala Nayan). Led by Dr. Pasang Yanjee Sherpa of TUNC & Yanik Shrestha of Passage International.
The third WO: Festival was held at Bode, Madhyapur Thimi, showcasing a vibrant mix of cultural performances and traditional Newar cuisine. The event was organized by Madhyapur Thimi Municipality, and OMG Spark & The Band headlined, delivering an unforgettable performance alongside Indira Lachhimasyu, Nisha Deshar, Niva Dangol, and The Nugah.
Established in 2017, EITV Festival of Folk Music celebrates Nepalese and global folk, traditional, and indigenous sounds. The festival is Nepal’s only free international folk music event, honoring the cultures behind these traditions. OMG Spark performed with a full ensemble featuring sitar, sarangi, flute, bhusya, and guitar, blending these ethnic instruments with his signature hip-hop fusion at Thimi, 7–8 March 2025.
An interactive storytelling and cultural immersion event featuring musical performances by OMG Spark and musicians Manish Gandharva, Deepson Putuwar, Uttam Ghosh and Sanju Bajracharya, heritage-based storytelling by Alok Siddhi Tuladhar, and artworks by Kathmandu University students. The event celebrated Nepal’s rich cultural traditions, blending music, narrative, and visual art to create an engaging, immersive experience for all participants.
In association with the American Embassy and the Nepal Hip-Hop Foundation, this workshop took place from 22nd–26th September 2024 at Brihaspati Vidyasadan and Nandi Secondary School, Kathmandu. Students explored the basics of rap and music production, building confidence, creativity, and self-expression through hip-hop facilitated by OMG Spark. The program emphasized collaboration, skill development, and the power of music as a tool for personal and communal empowerment.
