About OMG SPARK
Story
OMG Spark, born Saksham Shrestha (28th April, 2001), grew up in the vibrant streets of Kathmandu, where his parents ran an audio cassette shop. Immersed in a world of diverse sounds, from Nepali classical to American pop and hip-hop, he developed an early passion for music. As a child, he played percussion at local festivals and learned traditional instruments at temples, grounding him in his rich Newar heritage. By the time he reached fifth grade, he had already picked up the guitar and started exploring the world of rock and metal, which laid the foundation for his musical journey.
As he grew older, OMG Spark found his true calling in hip-hop, a genre that resonated deeply with him. Blending the ancient rhythms and instruments of Nepal with modern hip-hop beats, he created a unique sound that bridges tradition and innovation. His music, which touches on themes of cultural preservation, spirituality, and social consciousness, aims to showcase Nepalese brilliance to the world while empowering the youth to embrace their roots.
Saksham Shrestha, known as OMG Spark, is a passionate Nepalese hip-hop artist and music producer who artfully merges tradition with modernity. His multilingual rap, delivered in both Nepalese and English, creates a distinctive sound that resonates with a wide range of audiences.

In addition to his artistic endeavors, Saksham has held pivotal roles in the Nepalese music industry, including serving as a catalog manager and business development manager for SRP, one of Nepal’s oldest film and music companies.
